Another Update for my sister Heidi.
Her amputation surgery that was scheduled for last Monday got bumped to tomorrow, 10/13/2023.
Apparently it is now scheduled for next week sometime....
WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT?!?!
I cannot imagine, while very sedated, what her mind is running with as her wishes to just get this over with and it repeatedly gets postponed like some Blossom Concert due to understaffing or bad weather predictions.
If you were in her shoes, about to lose one of them, HOW WOULD YOU FEEL with running delays ?
I LOVE MY SISTER AND HAVE THE BEST OF MEMORIES WITH HER AND EVERYTHING WE DID IN OUR YOUTH.
They (Medical professionals) tell you need a fast Amputation to prevent a bone/skin killing infection to spread further and THEN FUCKING REPEATEDLY SET THE DATE FARTHER OUT???
Is it just me or does this seem horrifically wrong?
One has to wonder if Hospitals make more money on Amputations the longer a patient with good Medicals Beneifits can aid their larger plans when needing to stay in the hospital and CANNOT be at their home given IV pain-Meds and an inability to walk by themselves.
I am sorry if any of you find my thoughts unsettling. I can only share them with you.
